Habit Wine Company Cabernet Franc

The wine seems to be in a transition state. Perfect cork, color, zero sediment. Consumed over a 3+ hour period. It was best at the end which tells me wait a year or two (or more) to let is find itself. It's nice wine, youthful on the nose when opened so my guess is a couple more years might find it's (second) sweet spot based on the reviews here.

I can really only give this a neutral, 89 points. Not bad, but nothing special, and really not worth the price I paid ($30). Both the aroma, and the mouthfeel had a bit of a green, medicinal feel to it. This is 9 years old, it should be nicely aged, relaxed & smooth. It was far from that. This wine was a real surprise. I thought it was good, but when I gave a bottle to a friend who served it at a gathering, everyone was coming up to him and mentioning how unusually good the wine was. Powerful and grapey...has a lot going on.

intense dark fruit flavors are bursting - Wild blueberry, dark cherry, raspberry, and exotic spices. The tannins are well-structured, accompanied by a very broad finish full of length.
