Popped and poured at cellar temp. Blackberry fruit, eucalyptus and a hint of white pepper on a somewhat restrained nose. Lovely palate with sweet blackberry fruit, balanced with a nice graphite/mineral note and nice acidity on the finish. Tannins fully resolved. Time to drink up as I don’t think this will make old bones, but very nice today.

This bottle was quite herbal on opening, and felt a bit all over the place with heat/medicinal/espresso aromas, with only a touch of fruit. It did come together a bit with air, showing softer red plums, and a more balnced herbal quality. Tannin was fully integrated. Freshness was intact, and it feels like this should be enjoyed now.

Double decanted about three hours before it was served with dinner, just noticed a small amount of very fine sediment. Deep garnet/crimson red color with notes of currants and black fruit. There's a subtle herbal overtone. Wonderful stuff; lush and balanced. Fine tannins support an abundance of black fruit. Lingering finish.

Excellent Merlot/CabFranc blend. We we served by dinner host at Montecito Club. No notes taken.

Drinking well, but wish I had let it go for a few more years

A very nice blend of Cab Franc and Merlot, captures a bit of both in a nicely balanced wine. Better the second night than on the first night.
