Domaine Delaporte Sancerre Les Monts Damnés

A besoin d'aération 90-120 minutes avant de se révéler pleinement. La description de Blog en 04-22 encore très bonne, la référence au Riesling en moins :) Peut se conserver 3-5 ans facilement encore.

TWS North London - Loire (Must & Lees, N1) : A punchy start to proceedings - that old boxwood note, ripe and tropical, passion fruit, perfumed with a little woody edge. Some creamy depth on the palate and a herbal thing going on. It grew on me - would have guessed new world all day long though.

Robe dorée intense. Aromatique mûre et riche, très terpénique / végétal, à l’aveugle j’aurais pu penser à un riesling. À l’aération des écorces d’agrumes mais pas de fruits exotiques. Un vin à l’acidité bien intégrée, large, expressif mais avec une tension suffisante pour tenir l’ensemble. Well balanced, nice acidity.

Nice serious wine. Nose chalky and chives. Tropical exotic fruit especially guava and papaya. And key lime. Palate balanced with great acidic lift and immense mineral extract. Tropical dominate the fruit along with citrus. This manages to be true to Sancerre while still showing ripeness and depth and complexity. A really special wine.

Filling in w/the Friday Brown Bag Group (Ron's) : Double blind. Tropical fruit with a lime/citrus overtone. Lime and grapefruit palate, quite grassy too. Higher acidity. Turns more grassy as it opens- bordering on jalapeno. Guessed S. African sauv blanc.

Lemon, citrus, citrus peel, with a bit of pith on the mid palate. Great acidity. Fresh, lively, lovely.

Light on the nose, wet stones mineral flavor. Not heavy, tight, still young. This needs time
