The cork smelled delightfully of a typical mature claret and the wine did not disappoint. Violets, pencil lead, spice, forest floor and leather. Medium bodied, balanced, fine integrated tannins.

Violets, herbs, a little oak and forest floor make this St Emillion surprisingly like a left bank wine. The Cabernet is dominant now and the fruitiness that was evident a year ago is now very much in the background. Fine tannins provide an elegant finish to a good traditional claret.

Wow!! Nydelig vin. Fin struktur. Deilig duft. Rik smak. Passe kompleksitet. Balanserte og fine tanniner. Elegant og lang. Deilig aroma. Utviklet seg med litt rulling. Gå ikke glipp av denne. Fantastisk deilig vin. Dette var min eneste flaske av denne typen. Jeg har bestillet flere fra Danmark. Gleder meg til å få den i hus igjen. Drakk 06.10.12.

We first had this wine in Bordeaux in a restaurant called Le Lion d'Or. It was our first meal in Bordeaux and apparently unbeknownst to us this restaurant is the regular meeting place of 'the grape and the good' of Bordeaux - the de facto club of the winocracy.
