Stangeland Pinot Noir Stand Sure Vineyard

Very good ! Nose of raspberries, cherries and some oak. However the taste is best with very intense spices, and also a mineral feeling. Very concentrated, dense and almost full bodied. Nice bitter finish.

Memorial Day Weekend Wine Tour (Eola-Amity Hills) : The nose has blackberries and some rich earth scents. The wine has a nice minerality and tangly blackberry flavors. Nice, clean, and enjoyable.

A very good bottle of Pinot. We don`t get a lot of well balanced pinots from the States here in Europe, but this is one of the best bottles I have had in a long time. Very minerally nose with musty cherry fruit. Silky texture with good intensity on the finish. Flavors tend toward the mineral, dark cherry side. Nice spicyness late. This is fine and relatively restrained for this lush vintage. There is a slight metallic harshness on the finish that keeps it from a higher rating.
