Opened and poured. Very neutral nose and palate. Not much fruit or sweetness to give you the aha moment. Thick, dark profile, very purple...blackberry and plummy. Potent scents of tar, heat, blackberry. Kind of there and gone. Not much negative, but not much positive either....kinda blah. Day two under vac-u-vin, this gained some tannic traction.....still not overly sweet fruited, the heat and tannin kinda clamped down on a high octane fume fest.

Fruit showing well, structure solid. If you like spicier Syrahs, this is not for you.

A nose of dark fruits and spice, dark purple in color. A full bodied red blend, with blackberry, black cherry, chocolate and spice on finish, not as good as some previous years but still a good wine. www.winelx.com

Decanted for an hour...displaying a phenomenal nose of cooked blackberry preserves. Otherwise somewhat disappointing on the palate. Very thin in body with a bit of a tart finish. I find it interesting that the drinking window goes for another 15 years as this wine seems to be a bit past it's prime. Better with some baked brie. A nice drink otherwise.

Great flavors, fresh red fruit and deep notes. Should be good for a few years to come. Great complexity and long smooth finish.

Nose of blackberry and smoke. Rich black fruits, blackberry, blueberry, clay, and minerals. Finish vibrates on the tongue with layers of bright fruit, some acidity and long-lasting tannins.

Nice wine, but note it dropped a lot of sediment.

This was very nice. Not overpowering, yet rich, long finish. Would definitely recommend. In a nice spot. Could sense the petit syrah, the syrah a bit less.

Very fragrant nose of dark red berries with a little plum. Slight pepperiness initially but tends to subside after a few minutes in the glass and some swirling. Not too hot, mouthfeel throughout the palate was decadent. Finish lingers pleasantly for nearly 30 seconds or so.

Bouquet of chocolate covered orange candy and some modest heat from alcohol. On palette, nice round mouthfeel and cherry/chocolate + chocolate/orange peel but comes across over the top and flambouyant. Expressive flavors, mouthwatering and long finish.

Went middle of the road with this one .. I'd rate a bit less on opening night but it did come around and with some more age I think this might jump up from the get go into the 90's. Would still give this some more time, at least another year based on this particular bottle.

Tasted at winery. Notes of eucalyptus/menthol on the nose. Crunchy. On the palate, barbecue sauce, smoke and cocoa from the Petite Sirah component. Unique. Good finish. Needs plenty of cellaring time.

The flavor profile in this wine is just not my bag baby! The finish didn't work for me.

Poured through Vinturi for 1 hour decant ... Another great vintage of this one. Rich fruit of front, gives way to a smokey finish. Very, very dry.Straddles the lush-lean line extremely well. Perfectly balanced and impeccably made, with no heat to speak of. Excellent.
