Georges Roblin et Fils Sancerre Rosé Château de Maimbray

2011 French Rose (San Francisco Wine Trading Company) : Salmon colored. Relatively fruity nose. Lean and delicate with a bit of texture. Prominent twist of acidity and dry finish.

Herbal, grassy and brighter acidic red fruit, and oddly almost wild slightly unripe blackberry on the nose and palate, with chalkiness, and citrus pith. Still fresh but more rich than crisp, with bitter undertones and a bit unripe for the structure. Texturally richer than the body can carry, but in its defense eclectic and interesting. Still good and fine with a goat cheese and tomato frittata. 86pts
