11%, more alcohol and backbone than usual in a Mosel. Has qualities not completely unlike Georg Breuer's Berg rieslings. Ok, of course the acidity is not as elegant, it is a bit more watery on the midpalate, it is greener, less intense and shorter. But the vintage shines through, the minerality is great - and it costs a third of the price of an Erstes Gewächs. And that's a real bargain for what it is. Great as an apéritif!

Schiefer - it makes you salivate! Nice wine to smell: almond, nettles, minerals, sprite and ripe citrus fruit blessed by the good year. Pure happiness! Day 2: more complex and flint-smoky nose. Perfect spritz, mature grapes, some greenness of nettles and elderberries doesn't disturb the picture. Nice price!
