Purchased at retail on release and stored in my passive cellar ever since. I audouzed this bottle for about seven hours. The wine was wonderful with a palpable leather/tobacco aspect.

Glengarry Grand Tasting - Day 1; 8/29/2014-9/1/2014 (Glengarry Wines and Spirits, Victoria Park, Auckland, New Zealand) : Dense ruby. Dark fruit quality, rich palate with nice oak, excellent fruit richness and a velvet, plush texture. Sweet plums and oak. This is typical of the year and is consequently drinking very well in a forward manner.

Should have let it breathe longer... The last glass, after a few hours, was amazing for a second wine. Drink now, but decant and let it breath.

This was a great fathers day present from my son bought on a visit to Pomerol. Slightly brick red hue, and quite closed upon opening. Opened up nicely after decanting. Plenty of rich cherry, redcurrant and hints of spice. Tastes rich and opulent which i'm sure the impressive vintage had a lot to do with. Classy merlot led blend and tasted special and complex. Would love to try its sibling - petit village. A great introduction to Pomerol. 16/20
