Wow at 16 years of age this still needs a lot of air! First fairly tannic still but with some air it got a beautiful combo of yellow peach and quince, great acidity lift and still sooo young! The finish has some chalk and limestone. Drink now - 2030 Unfortunately my last bottle, this has reserves! 95p+

SLDS April 2023 : Pineapple, wax, honey and lemon aromas. Sweet and tangy on the palate, quite delicious mix of honeyed fruit with acid verve. Lovely drinking now.

Drank in Gabriel Standart. Appearance is clear, medium intensity, yellow gold colour. Legs. Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of rocky stones minerality, earthy loam, citrus lemon-lime, honey cream, white florals. Developing. On the palate, dry, sharp high acidity, medium alcohol (13%), medium body. Medium flavour intensity, with flavours of citrus lemon-lime, weathered rocks and stones minerality, touch of honey cream, finishing with loamy earth. Underlying green apple. Very long finish. Rapier-like focused acidity and dominant minerality that give …

Still doing well and would have loved to have more bottles to get back to over the next decade. Dropped a lot of the heaviness and nicely balanced elderflower, grape, citrus, acidity and still a sense of some sweetness.

Medium yellow, darker than other German GG's I know. nose of petrol, wax, minerals. Very dry on the palate, no hint of fruitiness or even residual sugar, creamy similar to a dry Alsace Riesling. Solid.

This beautiful expression of German Riesling GG comes in bright straw color with golden reflections. The nose is complex, vibrant and still youthful, opening with citrus and peach notes followed by apple and minerals. In the mouth confirmation of citrus and apple plus some pineapple and acacia. Good acidity and structure, well balanced with a medium/long, slightly bitter, mineral finish. Definitely ready to be anjoyed

Drank over two days. Good and consistent notes with last bottle, but would love to like these German Rieslings even more given this is a Grosses Gewaechs and hence kind of the equivalent of a Grand Cru from Burgundy. Reality is that in terms of balance and length this is more like a solid but not really great Premier Cru (to be fair, the price is also like a not too expensive 1er). Anyway, will keep trying these German Rieslings …

Pale yellow. Initially strong petrol nose, then white flowers, citrus a touch of exotic fruit. Well balanced with good substance on the palate and slightly bubbly. Medium plus finish. 91-92 Nice but after those fantastic white Burgundies in the last months I was hoping for a little more as this GG does not match those recent bottles in terms of purity/intensity and complexity of the aromas. PS: On day 2 from open bottle stored in fridge this has lost some …

Bibendum Portfolio Tasting : Spice, apricot, apple and floral notes. Plenty of spice on the palate as well, good fruit intensity and acidity. Impressive depth to it as well. There is plenty to like about this wine.

really good - lovely rich silky texture, and hum-dingingly beautiful Riesling. Balanced, full throttle, and so very moorish. YUMM

lovely nose of ripe yello fruit, pineapple, apricot, but also sharp citrus. it is not very acidic (could have been more for my taste), but very clean flavours mixing green lemon and ripe flavours, with a mineral undertow. lovely wine.

Rich and fat with Cantaloupe, citrus oil, mineral and honey notes on the nose. Nice overall balance and acidity. This bottle tasted more like a dry Loire Valley Chenin in my opinion.

Mandarins and peaches on the nose as well as some of the spice I often find with this producer. Palate has a splash of delicious richness. Very good line and length. Drinking well now but has obvious potential.
