Short 15 min decant. Medium plus body, linear, fair finish, not a bad wine but not a good QPR.

One hour double decant. Very very deep magenta color. Cherry tart and leather dominate. Smooth, dry palate. Firm tannins on the longish finish. I had high hopes when my friend opened this. It was not my style at all. Very poor nose. Perhaps just an off bottle.

Nice wine Needs an hour of air to bring out the dark fruit profile and vanilla background notes Could merit a 91

Opened for one hour before drank with Waygu skirt steak and truffle fries. Medium plus in body, well balanced, dark notes, not too complex, not too much going on and just a fair finish. I feel this should cost around $40, definitely not the almost $100 that Total Wine is selling it for.

This was much better than the disappointing bottle that I drank two plus years ago. Rich, concentrated, and balanced. Seems to be in a very good place at this juncture and should drink well for a number of years. Exceeded expectations and restored my faith in this producer.

Two hour decant. Lovely aromatics (my wife noted it wafting out of my glass three feet from her outdoors on our deck). Blackberries, cassis, tobacco. Also a familiar (Atlas Peak?) note that I find astonishing but can't describe. Full bodied, balanced, smooth and mouthcoating. Grainy tannins and a long finish. One of the best BVs from Ed and Kirk.

Agree with Be.Lee- this wine has improved with time. It is a very subtle, smooth wine with nice slight blue with red fruit notes. Clean finish. Went well with the meat I had. Not the powerful wine I was expecting but great nonetheless .

60 minute decant. Nose shows red cherry layers and notes of hard candy. Red fruit drives the palate with energy and plenty of cherry fruit, adding fresh thyme and stone fruit pits. Vanilla custard and black cherry with red plum and long, thin tannins on the finish. Better than last time but too much red fruit for a Cab IMO.

Less over-bearing oak juice with a couple more years in it, however this is still a bit monolithic with a heavy background of oak chips and vanilla. I don’t see this getting better. Not my style.

Wonderfully fragrant. Dark Burgundy in the glass. Color stretched to the edges. Bright flavors of cherry, pomegranate, and a hint of cola. Terrific acidity with rounded tannins followed by a medium finish. Nice.

Smooth with purple fruit richness on the palate. Soft and integrated tannins. Only criticism is it is somewhat one-dimensional... but it's a very nice dimension :). An enjoyable evening sipper.

Pretty similar to my last bottle in 2020 but has lost some zip so has lost a point. Really opened up with about an hour decant and was a full bodied cab with nice layers. It had a pleasant lightly chalky feel with a tasty smooth finish. Some dark chocolate and tobacco notes. Just hollowed out a touch in the mid-palate and lost some zip to be exceptional. Good QPR

drinking about the same as earlier in the year. nose is muted. tart cherry and cranberry flavors, minerality, moss. Has a nice line of acidity that keeps it fresh and very food friendly (had mine with roast chicken). Overall, well made, but I wish it was a bit more full fruited. I have always preferred the Juliet to this. I am not sure that the fruit will ever outshine the acidity, moving foward. Bought mine from Last Bottle at a …

Pnp. Muted fragrance. Black and red fruits. Chalky texture initially. Medium body with fine grained tannins and short finish. Improved second day. Not up to my expectations for this winery. Though maybe this is a typical Romeo, as I've always passed on this when ordering from Ed.

Based on prior experience with this winery, the expectations were high; unfortunately this ended up being a huge disappointment. Aromatics were shy, and the flavor profile and mouthfeel fell flat: lacks concentration and depth, fruits present as diluted, body is light, and finish is short. I was expecting a rich, focused and concentrated wine, instead I got a weak version of a Cabernet Sauvignon: hollow, thin and very bland. Not sure what happened to this winery, but its product has …

Excellent wine. I preferred to the wine I drank last night (see date). Expressive nose, nice acidity balanced with tannic elevation on palate with soft heat. Very mouth coating. Nose of graphite, dark berry, pot pouri. I am not sure what happened with my last notes? Bad bottle? Bad taster? LOL!

1st of 3 bottles from last bottle. Overall Ok but not wowed. Fruit is out of balance with eucalyptus and black licorice finish.

Also from Last Bottle. Powerful and unusual nose of camphor, wintergreen, and waxy cherry. Red cherry and cassis with a lot of wet stones, salinity, and cranberry acidity. Short finish has an red fruit acid burst, dried herbs, and a quartz earth note. This wine simply shows very unusual flavors for a Cabernet Sauvignon and I am unclear if it's as the winemaker intended. I have two more bottles to find out.

Close out from Last Bottle at $50. Fruit dominates the nose. Early pours have a lot of fine-grained tannins front-palate, but these resolve after 30 mins of bottle air. What remains is all fruit with a very brief finish; my wife likened it to a Chianti. With time the finish lengthens but there’s still not a lot of depth to this, at least 90 mins after opening. Tannins are faint. Reasonable on its own but I’m not as high on …

This wine is coming into its own! This is a powerhouse that gives off the flavor of the best that Atlas Peak has to offer in a amazing year for Cabernet grapes. Ed Snider is a master and brings another magnificent wine . I will miss Beau Vigne!

dark color, with some paleness around the edge showing signs of some aging, plenty of blue and red fruits to carry this on for many more years, delightful acidity on palate with smooth yet definite tannins to grip it for long period of time. Delicious as is, would continue to improve over 2-3 years.

Dark purple in color. Black and red fruits, crushed stone, damp earth, herbs. Nice acidity carries this medium body, smooth wine with grainy tannins, keeping the wind fresh, to the finish. The oak has settled.drinking beautifully at present.

Two hour decant, followed by a two hour slow ox. Very deep ruby magenta color. Tobacco, caramel, motor oil, cherry Pez, red currant, subtle candy cane and maple syrup on the nose. Smooth, dry palate, with some angel food cake notes. Full tannins on the longish finish. Nice Cabernet, but a touch more earthy than I like.

Enjoyable New World Napa Cab - oakiness really stood out here while not being overly tannic this remains balanced and drinkable. Day 2 not much changed oak flavor remains predominate. Have two more bottles that I’ll revisit in a few years to see if any secondary flavors evolve and neturualize an oak bomb.

Was surprisingly thin early on but 2 hour decant made all the difference. really opened up, typical Beau Vigne fashion, bold but not overwhelming fruit with good structure. I am not sure if Kirk Venge was still involved with this vintage, but nevertheless, has hint of his style of wine. Would benefit from few more years of cellaring.
