12% ABV. Own vineyard Pinot Noir 100% harvested from 20-25 Oct. Triaged and destemmed and fermented with ambient yeasts for 31 days (20 days under low temperatures). Pressed, then pigeaged and remontaged for a few times. Aged in old French oak barrels for 9 months. Total added SO2 at 55 ppm. No acidification nor chaptalization. 600 bottles made at 10R Winery. PNP into Lobmeyr Ballerina III glass (“Fruit” day): Pale ruby to the eyes. Very high acidity and minerality indeed. …

By the glass over dinner at wine.and.pig. Appearance is clear, very pale intensity, ruby colour. Legs. Nose is clean, medium intensity, with aromas of blood orange, gentle red cherries, thin stony minerals on earth. Developing. On the palate, dry, juicy high acidity, medium- alcohol, low tannins, medium- body. Medium flavour intensity, with flavours of gentle red cherries, blood orange, thin stony minerals on earth. Medium finish. Lovely cool delicate light Pinot Noir. Somehow ethereal and intriguing.

(Pre-release impressions) 12.0% ABV. PNP into Riedel Yoichi glass (“Root” day): Very pale ruby with some cloudiness. Ethereal wild red berry fruits, cherry fruits. Stemmy notes. Hint of tea leaves, smoke that is distinctive to this vineyard in my view. Very high acidity, again to me this has whole bunch influences though fully mechanically destemmed. 94 points easy.
