Caspari - Kappel Riesling Urschiefer QbA trocken

My last bottle. PnP and now 1.5h after opening. Closed nose with barest hints of minerals, tart apples and citrus. Electric zingy palate presence with plenty of chalky minerals, tart apples and lemon and grapefruit, and herbs. Excellent presence and persistent finish. Punches way above its QbA status. Will be interesting to follow this over the next several days.

PnP. Petrol aromas with stone and tropical fruits. Great acids and minerals rounded out by the stone fruits on the palate followed by a lingering stony finish. Lacks some depth but really nice for base level trocken.

Not much changed from the last bottle. Still a fairly strong sense of petrol overlaying some lovely stone fruit. Dry, light and pleasant.

Much like the last bottle, an appealing mix of stone fruit and light petrol with good acidity. Light on the palate, it's a fine fit with takeout Thai tonight.

Light, dry, fruity with a growing hint of petrol as the bottle saw air. Very nice, light and harmonious dry Riesling.

Juicy and harmonious. Nice for the money.

Pale gold. Initially, beautiful and exuberant aromas of apples, unripe pears and peaches,and minerals. Palate follows with the addition of minerals, like lots and lots of minerals. Almost like pop-rocks going off in my mouth. Finishes with tart apples, nice grapefruit pith bitterness and more minerals. Great acids to go with the minerals. I really like this. 12% abv. Phenomenal value for $15.

a nice base level trocken. A touch off dry, tropical fruit, medium finish.
