Medium lemon - sweet and savory nose of mushrooms, dried meat, bread dough, apple pie, dried apricot, warm spices, hint of chalk and white flowers. Odd amount of astringency

Blanc de Blanc, complex wine, soft bubbles, golden color, Disgorged July 2015 and disgorged May 22, drank with lobster - baked body, steamed claws, linguine, green beans, corn on the cob, drank easily, good stuff, will find more.

Bottled 2015, disgorged 5/2022. Another excellent bottle. Drink now or hold.

Great over a couple of nights - a throbbing bass line of acidity that carries nice (light) citrus and red fruit.

Friendsgiving weekend; 11/28/2025-11/29/2025 : Lot O0722, 100% pinot noir, bottled 7/26/2017 and disgorged July 2022. From magnum. Light color with a medium mousse and fine bead. Pear and almond notes with hints of dried dough. Plenty of orchard fruit on the palate with a nice bit acidity. Excellent. (TLV)

Bottled 2017, disgorged May 2023. Oh, my. Medium gold, with a reasonably delicate mousse. The nose is white orchard fruit, a bit of bread dough, and flowers. Zingy acidity with medium body and a long finish. Delicious now, but should probably rest in the cellar a few more years to really come into its own.

Another excellent bottle, slightly younger than the first, and it does show. Fine, persistent mousse. Nose of brioche and golden apples. Crisp with acidity and a nice tension and structure. A serious wine.

Smells like walking past a French bakery with a whiff of lime and flowers. Beautiful, fine mousse and long lasting bubbles. Bracing acidity and hints of citrus and crisp apples and a gentle kiss of salinity. Wonderful structure and a long finish. It’s a wine you don’t forget.

Medium body with lots of flavor, good bubbles, it took time open up as it warmed up, good complexity, I am a bit ambivalent but have another bottle to make up my mind, disgorged May 2022, bottled July 26, 2015 so it has been aging for a long time, drank with baked oysters and. lobster salad with avocado.

Needs a bit air and the first burst of bubbles to be gone, then it gets quite delicate on the nose and needs attention to get all the nuances. Drank as a celebration of the MPAs Bikar and Bokak with R and K. Very nice but not remarkable, other than the abundant biscuit flavors and mineralogy. Delicate.

2014 base. I was worried after the first few bottles that this was under-fruited but I think they may have been really tight. A recent bottle showed more fruit and suggested it may be starting to unwind.

Effervescence is not too strong, color is pale yellow, on the nose and in the mouth fewer aromas than the typical BdN but they are so precise and persistent: toasty notes, pear and citrus. Very well balanced.

Excellent champagne, especially for NV. Some stone fruit on the nose (white peach?) along with typical yeast/brioche. Pear and apple shine though on the palate alongside the peach/brioche. Really enjoyed this at ~$70 - have had much worse at higher $. Wish I had a few more bottles.

This bottle really underwhelmed. Maybe just a bad bottle but there simply wasn't a lot of anything to it. No energy or lift. Felt a bit flat, not with regard to the bubbles themselves, but simply the wine. Disappointing.

Petit & Bajan have been one of those “growers” to watch for a few years now. A literal marriage of Chardonnay (Richard Petit) and Pinot Noir (Véronique Bajan) with some mentoring from the one and only Ansleme Selosse makes for a pretty compelling story. Disgorged March 2022. Looks like it went into bottle in 2015, so wondering if this was 2014 base....not sure, and what if any reserve wines are in it. Believe this was Pinot Noir given its sourcing from Verzenay (and if I recall, also from Verzy). Raspberry, pear and some coil in the finish.

Followed over 2.5 hours. Nose not very expressive, but I really enjoyed this. Fine bubbles that quickly disappear on the tongue. Core of green apple and pear notes throughout with white florals, and refreshing acidity -citrus and peppery bite on the finish. The bread/yeast notes are there, especially on the nose, but I didn’t find them overpowering.

I’m digging this a lot. Much more than its brother (Obsidienne). Big mouthfeel with a cool V-shaped acid line of like a sour mango, great toasty chalky touches of buttery nose, perfectly balanced dosage, long long finish. Writing this as I sip and I keep wanting to add another point to the score with each sip. At this rate I’ll hit 110 by the end of the bottle. Watch this space. (Update: it plateaued at 93)

Classic grower champagne profile — a touch of oxidation (not Selosse level but it’s there, actually at a nicely balanced level IMO), not quite enough dosage for my taste, long finish, rich mouthfeel, vinous for sure. Not really my taste but a good example if it’s what you’re into.

Very fine structure, and nice bubbles and freshness at first, but ended up a tad yeasty for my taste.

Soft mousse, biscuity deftness but with sufficient acid bite that blanc de noir can sometimes lack. Delicious now or later. Be careful not to over-chill because that dampens the biscuit and accentuates the acid.

Loved this wine! The balance is spot on with brisk acidity and soft bubbles intermingling with rich full bodied apple fruit and yeasty notes. Much fun to drink.

Incredibly light texture with very fine bubbles, but not much flavor to speak of.

My birthday. Picked up this wine in Lyon. Great bottle. Loads of flavor and yet light and delicate. Drank with flounder and oysters. Not sure if I will ever find again. We have had amny Champagnes and this was one of the finest.
