Villa Maria, Private Bin Pinot Noir, Marlborough

Solidly made, nice mix of tart red fruit, plums and a little earth/stems. Pretty straight-forward but solid value Pinot.

well made wine with fresh fruit even after this time. Tannins are soft and the wine has good balance Medium weight, darker in colour than I expected Running out of Villa Maria in the cellar and it is something I should have kept up with me thinks

I think I read some good things about this wine and was expecting more. Not that there's anything wrong with this wine, especially at the price. There was a purple tinge to this wine, making it darker then a typical pinot. Other then that, though, this was a typical, well made pinot.
