A year after my last note curiously, but a couple of points less. Different base wines no doubt - easy and uncontroversial, but something missing.

A family-owned house in Le Breuil in the Marne Valley. Pinot Meunier (60%), Pinot Noir (10%), and Chardonnay (30%). This is perfect aperitif champagne - great value too.

At Auberge de Cendrillon, Disneyland Paris. Light straw golden colour. Green apple, citrus, lime, almond, biscuit, and brioche, with high, fresh acidity, and good to very good length. Light-bodied, with medium-fine mousse. Crisp and fresh. Best enjoyed as aperitif.

Sthlm Food & Wine Champagne-tastings (Älvsjömässan, Stockholm) : (Labelled as local swedish brand called "Linda Bengtzing") (Disgorged in 2023, base year 2019 with 30% reserves from 2018-2016, 10% Pinot Noir, 80% Meunier, 10% Chardonnay, dosage 8 gr/l) Fruitful nose showing baked bread, lime citrus and some chalk. With a pleasant and creamy palate covering an apples fruitiness and finish of with some structured lime zest bitterness. Easy going and very likeable as an aperitif. (Probably best with 0-3 years extra …

Very decent, Meunier led cuvée. Light, fruity, appropriately dry with pleasant aromatics.

£65/btl at The Potting Shed. Quite full without being big. Biscuit. Good finish.

My first from this producer, though I had heard of them. Premier cru. Pale lemon colour. A lovely round aroma of apple and apricot. Sweetish apple taste with soft lime acidity and minerals. A touch biscuity. Reminds me of Veuve Clicquot NV. Well priced, drinks nicely. [Cork + cage; 12% abv; Cornelius Wine, Edinburgh, £25].

Kinghams, Shere for friend's birthday dinner. Limited note taking. Frizzante-like persistant prickle: focussed white cherry, minerality, some citrus and green herb. Decent weight. Very moreish style if not über complex, good both with canapés and on its own.

Complex nose with floral and baking bread profiles. Big, very effervescent with serious bubbles. Not quite as yeasty on the palate as I'd hoped. But there are subtle complexities and textural twists and turns. The more I sip, the more I like. Happy New Year!

Pretty much the same as my tasting note from the winery. Perhaps not as much fruit as some might like, but plenty of yeasty flavor. Paired well with a sausage pasta.

These are certainly OK to drink now. But. Will continue to improve significantly of the next few years.

Clear golden color. Funky, earthy/mushroom nose. Yeasty palate with some drawn in apple & pear with loads of brioche. Quite acidic & youthful. Angular texture. Rest these. Nowhere near ready to drink.

From a 375ml bottle with stamp 100512 (? Disgorgement date) C - medium lemon, plenty of fine beads N - a predominately Pinot noir nose with green and citrus fruits with hints of minerals and yeast P - medium acidity, medium(-) bodied, quite elegant with notes of citrus, green and stone fruits with some brioche. Notes of bread and nuts emerged over time. Moderate length.

Austere at first, need a 1-2 hours to open up, revealing a rich, autolytic, mushroomy wine along the lines of Bollinger but with a bit more restraint. Mousse could be finer, but I was very happy with this. Could spend more time in the cellar as well, and the price is great.

Honeymoon Wine Tasting; 6/25/2012-7/3/2012 (California - Napa & Sonoma Counties) : Tasted at Winery. 77% Pinot Noir, 23% Chardonnay. Light gold in color, with aromas of honey, oak, apple, and nuts. The bright & crisp flavors were predominately yeasty nuttiness, without being overly heavy. The finish was long and lovely.

Pale yellow, fine bubbles. Nose was citric and slight baked bread. Taste was citrus and refreshingly acidic. Makes you want another glass.

This was nice. Dominated by a nose of fresh cut hey and yeast on the palate. I typically enjoy a Blanc that is more "green apple" and mineral driven but this is very nice.

Classic champagne aromas and good layer of yeastiness, straw colored with great fruit/acid balance. wonderful clean finish. others have suggested that this might be too young, but i think it is drinking wonderfully. thanks for the gift Jeff!

Holy momma-mia! This is a fantastic champagne with strong (add: yummy) notes of grapefruit followed by slighter flavors of orange, orange peel and unripe stone fruit. Terrific wine, despite the youth.

Second wedding anniversary celebrated with family at the lake for vacation, so the setting couldn't be better. That said this wine was so young it was almost stupid to drink it. Crisp apple, bright and bubbly. Give this a lot of time.
