An easy 93. Letting the wine decant while reading, I kept being interrupted with the smell of sweet black cherry wafting from my glass. Couldn't wait beyond an hour to try because of the aromas. This is quite good and full bodied without being dominated with tannins. Would/will purchase again.

I am not sure if I like the Turnbull house style or if it is my glass, but I consistently rate the Turnbull wines higher than everyone else. I had demoted this wine from Special Occasion to weeknight drinker based on the poor CT reviews. The nose on this wine is spectacular! Lightly herbaceous (thyme?), partly floral pastise, old-style cherry candy, fresh blueberry and blueberry coulis.raspberry compote, Oregon strawberries. Had I given up on it immediately after pouring, I would …

Excellent cab, especially considering the vintage. Bold with lots of dark fruit. Many years left in it.

Well done for the vintage. Needs lots of air time to open up and smooth out. No hurry on these.

Nice cab but way overpriced for something relatively muted and one-dimensional.

Opened three hours early. Very tannic at first. Opened up beautifully over several hours. Give this lots of air for now or let it age for a few more years, it's a great cab either way.

Not nearly as good as the other Turnbull Black Labels (the '07 is outstanding), but a very nice bottle nonetheless. Decanted for 2 hours and the wine improved with each glass. A bit softer than the traditional Turnbull single vineyard designates, this wine encompasses grapes from the Leopoldina, Fortuna, and Amoenus vineyards. Nice dark fruit on the bouquet with an oaky finish. Paired very well with a skirt steak in a balsamic/Dijon marinade.

A pleasing wine. Dark fruit, tart cherries, smooth with oak flavors. This wine goes much better with food. 86 points by itself (very good) 88 points with tri tip beef. This wine will improve, so I recommend cellaring it.
