Nose is wet redwood forest floor, and earth. Palate is a fruit forward dark cherry and semi-sweet cocoa. The finish is tannic but no fruit or many flavors travel with the tannins. However, for the price point, this bottle presents it self in the $13-$18 range verses an $8 bottle.

Mostly flat with undistinguished features. Never opened up and wished I had not.

Amazing value as always at TJ's-5.99 but as interesting as a wine twice the price. Pours dark, imposing garnet. Big jammy fruit flavors - plum and dark cherries. On the sweet side (think concentrated) but tannins pretty mellow for a wine this big. Chocolate, spice, earth, pepper. All the flavor one wants from a big red without the afterbite. Will buy again.

Consistent with prior note--a touch sweet (reminiscent of a sun dried raisin), but for $6 this is still where it's at in the QPR dept. For what it is....fantastic!

Lots of stewed fruit flavors here. It is a Trader Joe's wine at $5.99 so worth a try. This bottle wasn't worth the calories and was poured out. There were no obvious flaws.

I have had this wine a few times before. But you know what? I never reviewed it. In the past I recall it having a little more gusto. This is my first time tasting the 2012. For $5.99 at TJ's the QPR is hard to beat. You could put this up against a lot of wines under $12-15 and it can hold its own in a tasting. Nose is dusty spice, cocoa, and a little fruit. You would think that …

Smooth and fruity but delivers character too. Despite the equal three-way split of the varietals the Cab Sauv stands out the most, bringing some nice cocoa and cherry to the forefront.

Clean, good balance, bit of spice. Very good value @ $5.99. Good "house" red

Great Italian wine and flavor for the price point. Gets better with air.

We expected this to be young and fruity, and we're not disappointed. There is lots of upfront rich dark cherry. Deep red color. A hint of herbaceous wet earth and cherry on the nose. Cute little tannins. Young, but civilized acidity. Graphite and cherry on the finish.

Fairly hefty fruit and body for such an inexpensive wine. Sweet red and blue fruits with warm vanilla and just a slightly rustic edge. Nothing special but solid enough. Would buy again.

This is surprisingly good. A value priced offering from Trader Joe's that over delivers. Deep red color. Lots of cherry preserves on the nose. Fresh, vibrant, active red fruit on the the palate. Might be a little sweet, in a way that works. Not very acidic, but very palate pleasing. Bing cherry and earthy flavors on the finish.
