Domaine / Maison Vincent Girardin Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Champeaux

Dark ruby but cloudy, big nose with hints of brit, crushed raspberries, cherry with floral and mineral notes, expansive on the palate with strong mineral and earth characteristics, ruby grapefruit but also some fizz, finish is dark, deep and long, swimming in earth and ripe mixed berry fruits but unfortunately the brit muddles the fruit

At charity dinner with Lisa's BD along with 2006 Sea Smoke Southing. Very balanced, better with the meal, long finish.

Nice contrast with 2005 Scott Paul Audrey at New Years. Not as big, more balanced and long. Good to go. Doubt more age will improve.

Ruby color, earthy nose, flavors of red fruit, earth, minerals, medium body, supple texture, mild/moderate tannin, 20-30 second finish, decent potential to improve

Lovely Burgundy! Light ruby in color, quite ready to drink. Drank with John & Kim. Served with Chicken Wellingtons, and went quite well.
