Russian River Brewing Company Consecration

I was finally able to meet my dear friends' baby girl, so I brought over one of my favorites to toast the new arrival! After sharing a number of sweeter, more adjunct-forward beers, it was actually a real treat to have something light, bright, and more delicate. The fruity notes are mild but crisp, with hints of pear and grape, and the barrel shows up after the swallow to provide a smooth, dry finish. Cheers to little miss Rose!

A toast to my dear friends Amber and Mack on their wedding day! I've enjoyed many a batch of Beatification in my day, and the nose on this guy carries all of the farmhouse funk I've come to expect. The palate, though, is noticeably more mild than previous batches, with hops and grassiness actually cutting through a lot of the expected sour notes. I'm very interested to see how this ages and compares to previous batches.
