Drank over 2 nights. Dark purple color with limited fading around the edges, minor amounts of sedimentation. Very little variation in profile over the two nights. The primary feature is jammy blackberry fruit. Very minor secondary or tertiary flavor development. Tannins are still noticeable but not intrusive. Pleasant to drink, but very much one-note.

Socially Distanced Wine Joe,Wendy,David,Andrea,Bill,Ashley,Harry,Anne (Casa Vasquez - Princeton NJ) : Joe brought this out later in the evening, PnP, drank over about an hour. Dark purple color, minor separation. Nose showing black raspberry, mocha, light oak. Palate of dark and blue fruits, blueberry pie, cassis and spice. Thinner texture than I remember prior bottles. Medium weight and finish. Should continue to drink at this level for a while. Not likely to improve much from here (IMO)

Decanted and opened up in 30 minutes. Still very good. Aging notes on the fruit and velvet.

Vulgar coconut oil all over the place. Decanted four hours without letting the coconut oil aroma evaporate. Over-done and uninteresting vulgar wine.

Beyond disappointed. Still tight, and not a lot of complexity. Give it another few years in the bottle.

Decanted for 1 hour. This is classic Napa Valley right here. Aromas of dusty berry, blackberry, currant, touch of earth and black cherry. This still has some tannin that would probably shed if left in the decanter longer with flavors of blackberry, cherry, currant, iron and olive. Finish goes on for 30 seconds. Beautiful pure Cabernet!

Decanted three hours Black cherry and leather on the nose. Very dark and brooding looking in the glass. Not a lot of fruit - very lean and tannic. Not nearly as good as the previous bottle I enjoyed - this one not terribly well structured.

Great structure to the tannins. Really developed about 90 minutes after decanting.

Opened another bottle and delicious. Tannins are softening nicely. We had two different winery cabs opened and what really made this wine stand apart was the richness of the wine with a nice delicate use of oak. When tasting the other wine after, the oak overwhelmed the fruit. This one will get even better with more time.

2007 California Cabernet Blind Tasting (Hezi Levi's in Highland Park) : Inky. Creme de cassis. Spicy elegant raspberry, black cherry, mocha. Culty, rich weighty and elegant. Spicy. ACid and just gorgeous. Long finish. Me: 7 Group: 9

Massive tannins are starting to integrate and still huge ripe fruit. Rich nose with black currants & anise. Juicy, creamy and rich with a long delicious finish with some smooth tannin chewiness. This has much more time to go and will get even better.....going to give it another 2-3 years before the next bottle, but suspect 5 more years are needed to truly start to give the prime performance. Delicious.

3 hour decant - definitely needed, any scent was very muted right at opening. Rich in every sense of the word - dark blue and blackberry fruits, almost like a cobbler, with caramel and spice to finish. I felt the tannins had integrated nicely - there was no jarring bite, just solid structure overall. Great weight and balance, wonderful with roast leg of lamb.

Dinner at BLT in Westchester, paired with the main course which was beef for everyone...i have really enjoyed this wine when first tasted, its been a few years since I have tasted it...really spectacular wine, keeps getting better. Dark purple color, rich calif nose, although a little heat that didn't show up on the palate. This was a restaurant, so basically a pop and pour. I suspect an hour decant will blow it off. Dark red/blue fruits. Blackberry pie, chocolate …

Opened bottle three hours prior. Delicious!!! Smooth. Tasted 2010 ERA along side and all thought the 07 CS was superior at this time. I think, giving ERA five years to develop wouldn't present the same result.

Excellent. Strong tannins that pair well with steak. However, I will let my remaining bottles sit for a few more years.

A little hot at first, but that blew off in 15 minutes and left a lot of cherry and oak to savor. Even better the second day.

Cherry, dark fruit and lots of oak. I decanted for about 90 minutes, but this wine still needs more time in bottle. I would hold two more years before drinking.

Second serve of my tasting at Alpha Omega in Napa Valley. Nose: This is not as exhuberant as the proprietary. Bit more oaky with dark fruit, liquorice and spicy finish. Palate: Full bodied, restrained but with huge amount of Tannins. Green with jammy blackberry and liquorice. Quality is there but its not as great and as defined as the Proprietary. 90-91 Voila !
