Light pale yellow. Reluctant nose of grass and lemon leads to a surprising amount of tropical grapefruit in the mouth. Not as sophisticated as many sancerre, rather pretty direct.

Nice but not as tasty as the other Sancerre. It had a less mild finish. More acid

Very pale gold. Lime, dusty stone, and spearmint on the nose. Lost some of its youthful energy and is rounding a little bit on the edges but still has very nice acidic cut in the mouth- a salty grapefruit feel with a little a hint of something sweet and floral in the back drop. Fair value at $22 but I will not be sprinting out for more. That having been said, it really does hold my interest in the glass. …

Winewankers BYO; 7/1/2017-7/2/2017 (Tores House) : Clear light yellow. Nose with tropical fruits and hints of butter. Round palate with tropical tones and some minerals. The end of the tastingcurve is bad. Medium plus length.

Floral notes and tropical fruits. Chalky minerality and grapefruit. Really pleasing tartness. Delicious. Paired nicely with a whole roasted branzino.

Very gritty and aromatic. Flowers, vanilla and Mellon. Not a dry wine at all. But refreshing summer wine, good with seafood

A nice nose of lemongrass, mineral, and linen. Quite soft on the palate, drinking well now. Tart lemon & more mineral flavors.

Thrilling for 18 months after release, then seemed shut down. Wrong -- as of today, simply dried out. Barely into light yellow color, young and fresh in appearance, yet hollow. Having followed this wine and the Maxime for a decade now, I feel sure in saying that Delaporte is a producer to be drunk young or never. Most of what comes to USA is sold and consumed in Chicago within 2 years. For good reason, as experience repeatedly confirms.

Excellent on release, great tension, a coiled spring; then entered hibernation from which it is at last emerging. Always one of the earlier-developing Chavignol whites, but 2010 is a glacial vintage. 90.5 now; could hit 92 in 6 months.

Lots of fennel and chive on the nose along with gooseberry and pink grapefruit. This has aged well over the last 2 years. It reminds me of my visit to their domaine 2 years ago and the staying power exhibited by their whites. Still crisp and fresh, this has many years of life left. Vibrant and fresh, picking up a sense of plenitude on the palate if still not quite there yet.

Had it at Brasserie Max & Julie. No formal tasting notes, but was very pleased with its balance between crisp grapefruit-driven acidity, its relatively creamy mouth-feel and its grounding minerality. Very good. More whites should be like this.

Ripe with ample acidity, briskly scented with pineapple and lemon zest, and a hint of gooseberry. Bright fresh lemon and pineapple juiciness dominates the palate, with a undercurrent of salinity and bitterness by way of its notes of lemon pip and rind.

Very crisp, dry with just some hint of lemon and a touch of honey. Almost too much minerality for my taste, but very good for a hot, muggy day.

Super flintly, smoke, creamy peach, pamplemousse amd chive. Med body. Round. Vibrant acidity. A little linear right now. Needs some time to fill out and with the acidity it shows, a little ageing won't be a problem.

Very disappointed in this for the price. Decent varietal fruit characteristics, but lacked the minerality and structure that we like in Sancerre. I can get something almost as good as this from New Zealand for $8 (not $24). We felt that the Karine Lauverjat 2009 and the Domaine Fouassier Clos Paradis 2009 both blew the doors off of this wine, and those ones cost $5-10 less. The QPR here was poor.

Tasted from a magnum at domaine. Super-complex. I never knew Sauv. Blanc could age like this. Nose of petrol, fennel almond and peach. Waxy texture on palate. Acidity still very fresh, this was a lot more vibrant than the 1994.
