Peregrine Riesling Saddleback

Screwcap. At first, the nose is tightly-wound, with strong notes of kerosene, river stones, and lemon peel. With time, the fuel note blows off, and nose is taken over by strong, powdery notes of stone and concrete. The mouthfeel is remarkably full-bodied: a thick, strong spine of acidity rounded off with minerality and a touch of glycerin. Really developed for a 10yr old wine under screwcap, but in a good way. Mandarin, lemon curd, dried herbs and some unburnt tobacco. Drink now don’t wait, there is no need to and probably on the decline.

Got to say I was quite impressed with this off dry/kabinett-style riesling. Drinks la bit like more expensive wine.
