The 2015 might have been my favorite Dolcetto ever, and this 2016 certainly gives it some competition. Super young and will be better in 6-12 months. Black raspberry, cherry, blooming meadow of wildflowers, black licorice and fresh fennel, and just a touch of roses, baking spice and petrichor. Focused and very fresh, but subtle confection amplifies everything. Surprisingly tannic (med +, it comes from a single plot of old vines in Cannubi) but very finely composed. Tasting with Paola Right fresh crunchy fruit on nose. Bright acid and snap with grapey flavor and mouthwatering. Would do well c tomato based food better than most dolcetto. I like this quite a bit. For acid lovers and while drinkable now I bet an hour or two or better 12 mos in bottle would benefit the wine.
