Drinking beautifully with mature tannins, luscious dark fruits, tannins coat the side of the mouth. This wine is aging perfectly and will be around for years to come

Clear, deep ruby fading to garnet at rim. Medium- intensity nose of pure, rich, ripe black fruit. Subtle oak with menthol, chocolate and stone. Powerful, chalky tannins. Robust acidity. More earthy than expected with tart black cherry, black liquorice and minimal oak. Good length, not a powerhouse.

Not much across the nose, slight hints of dark cherry. Nice balance across the palate with a slight bite on the finish. Definitely would consume in the next couple of years. Really a nice wine just not a lot of complexity to it. Quite a bit of sediment so definitely would recommend a decant.

This wine is in a very nice place. Dark cherry dominates with hints of blueberry and graphite on the nose. It has a nice tannic bite but a little flat across the palate. The finish is short but smooth. This wine went well with steak dinner but would have loved to tried it with dark chocolate.

Lovely fruit, soft tannins and hints of cocoa. Definitely a wine for sitting in front of the fireplace and eating chocolate.

Forest floor, graphite. Medium tannins not too much fruit. Sediment in bottle every time.

Tight fruit when first opened, good nose of black fruit and casis. Solid tannins and medium finish. Really opened up the next day, complex black and blue fruit nose, cassis still there. Very good. Next time, will decant for 60 min before drinking.

Strong QPR cab, definite high elevation characteristics: red fruit, not too oaky, bright with some acid, great structure, med plus mouthfeel, tannins that will carry this baby another 10 years if you want to wait, but very drinkable now with some air. Surprised!

An Evening With MS Thomas Price of Jackson Family (North Loop Wines, Mpls) : Very dark red color. Drank 1 glass over 30 minutes. Sweet vanilla, oak, herbal nose, ripe cassis. The palate has spice, herbal, Dark cherry, vanilla, medium body, a bit stemmy, oak and a little heat showing. Young and could use a bit more time, but fairly typical.

2017 Austin Food & Wine Festival; 4/29/2017-4/30/2017 (Auditorium Shores, Austin, TX) : According to the Kendall Jackson representative, this particular label is only available to restaurants and not made available in retail distribution. Apparently if you want it, you have contact their local rep or the regional distributor. After tasting it, I think I'll pass! Like most of the K-J products I've had over the years, this is too jammy for my taste buds, but I'm sure based on their …

very good QPR, nice nose, decent complexity, but too young... needs a few years in the cellar for sure

Great price point for a pleasant and arguably substantial cab! Limited tannins. Blue and black fruit forward. Enjoyed with dinner at J Ford's Black Angus in Terre Haute, IN. Will buy a case for house weekday wine.

Blind California Reds : Deep purple color. Aromas of spicy tobacco, pine needles and pepper accentuate the plush currant and black cherry fruit. Full but fleshy on the palate, very nice balanced between tannins and acidity. Juicy black cherries and cassis mix with quite balanced elements of cedar, coffee, vanilla and a bit of loamy soil and pepper to finish it all off. A velvety, pleasant style but it opens up a lot in the glass and will likely do …
