Deep ruby color. Aromatic and flavor profile shows charcoal; wood, infused dried black dirt; black cherry; savory plum; dried raspberry; cigar tobacco; shoe leather; and a healthy dose of tannin. In development with structure trying to find balance. Needs food and decanting. Still a BIG wine. Hold or drink with decanting and food though 2035

1st night: This is a delicious wine. Dark, ruby, and mostly opaque in the glass. On the nose with aromas of red fruit, tobacco, herb, and tomato leaf. On the palate perfectly ripe cherry, raspberry, Oregano classic balsamic notes going into tobacco, hint of minerality. Medium to full bodied, medium acidity, medium + tannins that are well integrated and resolve with oxygen. Wine has a long finish. 2nd night: evolved to candied cherries and fig with, leather, expressive and anise. …

Strawberry and red fruit. Secondary flavors of tobacco, leather starting to come through and will really shine with another 10+ years of age. Incredible bottle

This is singing right now but still has room. Fruit is still there but now joined with garrigue, asphalt, and a savory meaty note that emerges with some air. Really, really nice evolution. Looking forward to the last two bottles in due course.

Powerful, with great depth, and rather amazing.

Gorgeous Brunello. Cherries, graphite, leather, cigar box, anise. Plenty of acid and chalky tannins to spare. Wonderful depth to this wine. Drinks great now with some air, but this has plenty of age left in the tank.

Super beau Sangio, gouleyant et bien droit. De belles saveurs de cerises et de prunes avec du poivre et une peu d'anis. On détecte aussi une pointe de fumée et des herbes. C'est dense et sapide comme impression. La finale est bien longue et nous laisse sur des relents de minéraux. Fantastique!

Starting to drink really nice right now. Decanted 1 hour. Pretty classic Brunello notes- a bit of anice on the nose and cherry in the mouth but very dry and still pretty heavy tannins. Drank half a bottle over 2 nights- really opened up second night. Will be really singing in another couple years but great now with enough air.

Corked - dammit.

Still a bit young. Strong tannins to start. Took an hour or so to come together. Sadly there was a hint of cork here. Not so much we couldn’t drink it, but enough that it wouldn’t be fair to rate it. Looking past it, a bit… meh? Maybe this bottle going through a dumb phase? After a couple hours, some juicy cherries but still a bit one-note. Great nose of fruit and something floral. A little ‘solventy’ VA on the nose as well. Lively acidity and serious tannin but not overwhelming. Will revisit this - I expect it to continue some development although very good now.

Ready now

Sanguine aromas of meat, roses and raspberries. Evolved nicely over 2-3 hours. Very nice Brunello to drink or hold.
