The wine is of outstanding quality. It has pronounced intensity from the medium tannin is integrated, and the long and complex finish. 2010 Domainre Dujac Gevrey Chambertin Aux Combottes Premier Cru Gevrey Chambertin Tasting May 17, 2017. PNP Reddish purple color with browning at rim. Effusive bouquet of red fruit, with earth and tobacco. Medium body, but rich red vibrant fruit producing mid-palate stimulation extending to the back of palate, exquisitely balanced, integrated tannins with spice on a long (30+ second) finish. The wine delivered tremendous intensity without weight. It was terrific, and the wine of the tasting. 93 Points

PNP into Zalto Burgundy glass (“Root” day): Pale ruby with some bricking hues. Smoke, cured meat, bacon fat, soy, dried leaves, animale. Hints of VA towards finish that does not bother. The only thing that puts this under 95 points is its slight lack of mid palate concentration but I have no complaints! 94 points.

PNP. cork wet 1/4th up. color ruby with slight bricking. this one has tannin and acid structure but both are smooth and almost totally integrated. sipping this shows the fruit density which is considerable and pretty fresh for a 19 yo. plenty of life left i think. will wait a bit to try again.

PNP. Cork perfect. Color bricking ruby. Nose dominated by sous bois that frames cherry fruit. The previously dominant reduction is only slightly perceptible tonight. Swishing this shows mostly acid structure with some polish. Finish is light and smooth and has the slightest reductive whang at the end. Really very nice tonight. Glad I waited!

Opened to pair with beef wellington on Christmas day, this is very tasty. Initial nose of undergrowth, hint of barnyard that evaporates off, smooth tannins, but distinct and balanced, a hint of pepper, very savoury, long aftertaste. Not super fruity but the fruit is there.

On the way out but still a beautiful wine.

Quite a full red robe, a rich nose and a lush fruit - initially with some rustic garrigue notes in the aftertaste, but this wears off with air (and food) and one is left with delicious, ripe pinot-fruit. If anything, this is on the young side, although no crime is committed, if one opens a bottle now.

Red Burgundy tasting @ (Rotterdam, Netherlands) : Despite being 13 years old, the next wine has a medium-plus intense and bright ruby core, with an only slightly clearing rim. The nose start out with funky cellar stink, then morphs to overripe canned fruit before more exposure to oxygen unveils a (non-TCA) cardboard-like component and finally turns savoury and gamey; all at about medium-plus intensity. quick note. popped and poured. color dark ruby. nose mostly primary. palate shows good depth and great texture, turning just a little dry during the medium finish. if you enjoy primary fruit in your burgundy this is in a nice place right now. i expect this to hold up for years.
