Apples and pear fruit on the front end, with tons of sea shell, wet stone, and a little herbaciousness. Strong acid profile cuts the sweetness of the wine on entry and makes it more racy than sweet. Nice job. Paired well with Golden Tilefish and Fiddleheads.

Bright yellow, super tart and citrusy, clean crisp and palate clearing, it then finishes with a touch of grapefruit.

Fresh, saline, not too heavy or spicy as the more oaked albarinos can sometimes be weighed down by, I like the minerality and acidity. Clean fruit and good texture. I'd say that this would be a better choice compared to simpler Muscadets or Sauvignon Blanc wines most of the nights and would pair well with all sorts of seafood.

Citron confit, acidité élevé, bonne longueur, j'aime bien. Je crois racheter lorsque ca repassera.

Dry, mineral, subtle fruit. there is citrus and ginger. the first breeches make a lot of joy. also thanks to the creaminess and the length. but somehow missing with each further swallow the profundity for a really big wine. great experience from the Iberian Peninsula. Can be a good food companion.

Intensely acidic and lemony. Precise and cut. Needs food and soft shell crabs in a coating of lemon olive oil was just the ticket.

Very pale yellow. Terrific citrus, lemon curd, balanced and food friendly. Terrific juice for $22! Did well with a chicken egg roll and a variety of cheeses. Lived up to the hype.

A racheter !

Persistencia media/alta.

Paille clair pale brillant.

Medium nose shows green apple, toasted pear, seashell, white potpourri. Palate gives killer acidity, more citrus driven with orange zest, lime zest, kiwi, finishes dry and high acid.

Medium nose gives tangerine, clean rock, white flowers, lemon peel. Palate a little rounder than expected, more citrus and slate notes, acidity is juicy, fresh green notes in the background like lemongrass. A little different style for Albarino, can't quite but my finger on it. Interesting.

No in depth-notes. Pure and crisp. Grass, herbs, lemon, lime. Racing acidity on the palate, very powerful, and young. Chives. Great quality but too young for my personal taste.

Opened, drank over several hours and had with roast chicken and cheese. Not much to add to the previous note, but it is consistently terrific Albariño. Need to find more of this!

Big time floral nose even when cold. Super tart, lemon, pear, green apple and it complemented a BLT nicely. Bigger and more complex than most Albariños that I have had. I really liked it but you do have to like acidity to be on this bandwagon.

A pale colored wine with a slight yellow hue, on the nose it reveals citric peel, peach, apricots, white flowers, sea breeze, and white pepper. Mid bodied showing flavors of citric peel, apricots, refreshing acidity, and a long saline finish with some crushed seashells. Clean crisp flavors that are delicious and refreshing.

Pale yellow color. Aromas of flowers, pear, and sea breeze. This really shows depth on the palate with a stony character that accentuates the floral fruit and melon notes that carry into a persistent, long finish. Best Albarino I've had, maybe ever. Delicious and engaging. Drink or hold.

Opened for 30 min and it shows a fresh bouquet of pear, fenner, wet grass and anise. On palate it's young with plenty of fruit like pineapple, mango and citrus. The mid palate is direct, carrying a mineral profile, wet stones but it is also olily and finishes with a citric and smoked taste. Really good now, should be even better with 1-2 more years. An albariño to stockpile as a daily drinker. 89+

Very minerally, elegant, long, but young, Albarino. Good complexity, briny, should age well. Impressive and distinctive. Not surprised to see this at the top of a recent NY Times tasting, although overall Do Ferreiro Cepas Vellas is my #1. And, while I don't disagree that there is probably a small sea of Albarino that is pleasant but not particularly distinctive, this is true of many regions. Bottles like this one, Do Ferreiro, Benito Santos, Pedralonga, Zarate, and others are complex, …
