Quite nose, restrained. Some light orchard fruits and maybe mineral notes. Comes alive with the palate, full, pithy, waxy, broad, generous in a way. Slight grip and some bitterness. Ripe apples, honeyed notes, long. Assured

Fermented pretty dry, aged in amphora of some description from what I can tell. It was a little sullen and brooding on first opening, needed a decant to calm down! Certainly a long way to go (sealed with a daim 8 cork, so the winemaker reckons it can do the distance). Very textural, all waxy honeyed apples, phenolic bitterness and mouthfilling lanolin, spicy notes, very very long finish. Quite a subtle nose, a little apple.
