Consistent with previous note, but I wonder if this would benefit from extended aeration, as towards the end of the bottle it was developing substantially more interest, with layers of smoke and cinder toffee.

As with previous note this is really complete - a hint of everything you would want in a Chardonnay - apples, butter, cinnamon, spice, vanilla. Perhaps it’s not entirely knit together, but still very classy. Not worth the price but that’s Burgundy for you.

A really complete and exemplary chardonnay. Bright in the glass. Perfect balance between soft vanilla oak, soft stone fruits, honey; an initial whiff of chlorine blew off quickly giving way to honeycomb and toast. Really complete, delicate yet firm. Just very well balanced all round.

Wonderful nose of lemon curd, pop corn and some butter and vanilla. The palate is lighter and more crisp and racy as the Meursault-esque nose suggests. Great freshness and balance. I really like this producer’s 1er Crus. They are in a sweet spot of white Burg QPR.

The very decadent exquisitely beautiful (in small portions) face of white Burgundy. Like a steakhouse dessert. From a good steakhouse. Think creme brûlée, burnt sugar, lychee, mango, passion fruit. Rich and creamy, deep and all together as one. Good acid to stand firm. Married perfectly with Rogue Rive Blue (best cheese in the world - look it up)
