Lot 20-03 Coats the glass like port. Green herbs, cherry (obviously), marzipan, orange zest, cinnamon, warm vermouth, perfumes notes.The mouthfeel is opulent, sweet, oily. Rich cherry, marzipan, oranges, prunes or raisins. Great!

The utmost expression of pure deep cherry in sweet & sour form. Very balanced and this bottle was consumed in less than 10 minutes with 10 people. Man this is excellent. Great stuff.

Lot No. 14-08 from magnum. Extremely dark red and blackish color. Unfiltered. Nose full of dark and sour cherry. Some blackberry, chokeberry and christmas cookies. Palate was very rich with dark cherry, sour cherry and cherry jam. Nice acidity but still enough sweetness to hold up against the Danish "risalamande" for dessert. Some almond, cherry pits and christmas cookies as well. You feel the alcohol a tiny bit as well, but it's not overpowering or anything. Overall a great experience!

A wine blended from several vintages of Frederiksdal Kirsebærvin, which in turn is a wine made with cherries that are first pressed, then fermented in stainless steel while macerating with the pulp, stones and skins for 4-5 days. Typically Kirsebærvin is released quite soon after the vinification, but wines destined for Reserve and Sur Lie bottlings are moved to age in oak barrels on the fine lees. This is everything I hoped it would be. Very clear cherry personality throughout, plenty of complexity and baking spices and other good stuff from the time on the lees. Day 3: Similar to the first day. Excellent stuff.

It is such a beautiful fluid. Sweet & sour but not the Chinese way. Frederiksdal is the world's premiere cherry wine producers no doubt.

This is just so good! Hugely pronounced intensity and very well balanced by the lofty, but not too high acidity. Long and complex with beautiful off-dry flavour of the finest cherries and a bit of well integrated woodsmoke. For Christmas eve it is the ideal sipping wine after the food.

Deep dark black center, dark red rim with some signs of age. Intense nose of cherries, mint, ripe plums, some alcohol. Smooth, sweet, but good balance, intense cherry and ripe darker red fruit, blackberries and blackcurrants, mint, fantastic length (minutes). Amazing fortified wine, great length and flavour.

Wow, I just love this! Ticks all the boxes for me! Deep deep purple colour, even a Teinturrier (sp?) would be hard pressed to produce this colour density. Nose is hugely pronounced with bright cherry notes, dark cherry notes, wood complexity, almond like 'stone' character but so wonderfully integrated and the fresh berry character dominates so much. Taste is extremely full bodied and only off-dry, in fact so dry that it doesn't work with the traditional Danish Christmas Rice Pudding …

Vin og gourmet aften i SuperBest : OK dessertvin og prisen på aftenen 110 DKK. Ikke så god som basis versionen da den efter min smag har en del mere syre. Havde på et tidspunkt smage af mentol som bestemt ikke passede min smags palete.
