pleasant fruit up front, but doesn't have the complexity or depth of typical zin. Finish had an unpleasant metallic clang

Held this one for too long, almost sherry-like (oloroso seco) with very high alcohol and not pleasant at all. Tried again after a couple of hours but no difference. Might be flawed, or just really bad.

Still very nice, fruit notes are a bit less, leather, tea, and five-spice a bit more prevalent. I'd start drinking them up - this was my last one.

Decanted for about two hours. Violet color, fairly opaque, has a bit of weight to it, not a whole lot. Aroma is a lot of cherry, a hint of blueberry. some chocolate, some red licorice. Fruit doesn't overpower the palate, the cherries are subtle and in balance with some leather, some cola, soft tannins and a long, intense, cherry-vanilla finish. This one still has a bit to go.

Gift from Joseph and a wine we hadhad together at the Q Club. Deep purple core with deep color right to the edge of the glass. Grapy, foxy nose with licorice notes. Mouthfilling peppery and big tannic character. Medium body, thin finish

Agree with previous comments---a Rhone-styled zinfandel.

A LITTLE ALCOHOLIC ON OPENING, BECAME VERY SOFT AFTER 10 MINUTES. LOTS OF CHERRIES AND RASPBERRIES IN THE NOSE AND FLAVOR. MEDIUM LENGTH FINISH.

ok, the twomey was a bust, so i had to open something else. this wine was in our room at post ranch inn when we checked in last march. 375 ml. 14.7% alcohol. nobody is going to go ape over this wine, but it's a solid, classicly flavored california zin from paso robles. i had to look it up on ebob to learn that it costs $18, and that RMP rated it at 87. that's a fair assessment. a little …

Had this zin for the first time 4/28/04. When first opened the amomatics amnd flavors were superior to the wine after time in the glass. A good solid Zin but surpassed by others at this price point. Initial aroma almost Pinot like barnyard. Nice rich fruity if somewhat unusual tast. Can't put my finger on it.
