Purchased at the winery upon release and cellared under ideal conditions, this bottle was decanted through a screened Vinturi aerator and serially tasted over the ensuing four hours. Sporting a youthful deep ruby robe, it aromatically blossoms after 60 minutes in carafe. A blend of 85% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Merlot, it offers a dense core of blackberry and dark plum fruit that is buttressed with baking spices, violets, lavender, cedar, sage and licorice. Full-bodied, beautifully lifted, proportionately oaked, seamlessly …

From a bottle purchased at the winery upon release and cellared in pristine fashion, this wine was decanted off of its sediment and serially tasted over the ensuing 3-4 hours. Fully opening after 90 minutes in decanter, it proved itself to be a delicious red that is aging at a glacial pace. Still a youthful opaque crimson in color, this blend of 85% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Merlot flaunts an intensely floral bouquet that is buttressed with aromas of ripe …

Nice match with short ribs. Medium purple color, moderate sedimentation. Plum and currant with a medium finish. Retained freshness over 90 minutes until the last drop.

Dark red, good acid, red fruit. Smooth, full bodied, but straight forward red. Perfectly cromulent wine.

Smooth, not a big bouquet. Nice long finish. Not a big cab.

This was a perfect match for the steaks we grilled on this beautiful spring day. This vintage was ready to drink and was smooth and elegant. We visited the Hall winery back in 2013 and found it to be a beautiful place. The wine is also.

Fruit leather and tobacco on the nose. Big round mid palate. Smokey with cassis and cherry jam. Finish lingers with toasted oak and dark fruit.

Hall's T Bar T Ranch vineyard is located in the Alexander Valley in Sonoma County north of Healdsburg and rests 400-1100 ft. above sea level. I thought the flavors were kind of muddled and it was an overall unimpressive wine. V no rating, WS no rating, RP no rating.

Dark in color with black fruit. Some tannins but opens well in the glass.

Continue to be pleasantly surprised at how consistently good the lineup of hall wines is. This one is no different, lots of beautiful red fruit on the nose, a little young but tasting great. Good qpr

Pleasant but nothing special. I believe it is at the end of its life.

Very nice cab...not as powerful as some other Hall Cabs. Likely needs a few more years in the bottle.

Wow, this wine exceeded all expectations ... More complex than earlier tastings ... dark garnet color that is beginning to take on a slight brown brickish color - medium bodied, smooth polished silky texture, berry, red currant fruits with tones of creme caramel that turn to a whisper of licorice on the finish. Earlier notes say this is better than when tasted at the winery almost a decade ago. I think it is better than when last tasted three years …

Classic Sonoma Cab with substantial "herbal essence" overlying the mostly black fruit and subtle oak. Deep and long, this was billed as the one to drink now while you wait for the Howell Mtn to develop. This one could also use some time....

Napa Valley Wine and Food Excursion 2013; 9/30/2013-10/5/2013 (Napa Valley, California) : Rich and intense, this opaque crimson wine (a blend of 85% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Merlot) has an intoxicating floral nose, supported by aromas of ripe plums, cassis, cedar and licorice. Full-bodied, fresh and layered on the palate, it unfolds with ripe black fruits, sage, black pepper and hints of game. The tannins are substantial but very fine-grained, and the alcohol is nicely integrated (despite being listed as …
