Deep ruby in color, the wine opens with a restrained bouquet of cedar and subtle spice. On the palate it shows power and concentration, though still tightly wound, leading to a medium-length finish. Decanting is recommended, as the wine will benefit significantly from further cellaring. 93+

This wine went through a remarkable transformation with time left open. I started out as dry, dusty with the fruit in retreat, tasting overly mature for it's age. With 24 hours left open the fruit had grown in weight and the wine was transformed into a wine delivering real pleasure. Dark brambly fruit backed by tertiary tar. Full bodied, good ripe tannin, with enough freshness to provide interest. Medium finish, some complexity. Drinking now.

VT Group Tasting Vol. 4 : This is the second bottle of this in a few months. The first one was oxidized, this second one was too ripe and showed heat. Nothing to write home about. TN: Medium expressive nose with ripe dark fruit and alcohol heat. On the palate a tad better, especially with some air: the alcohol is less prominent but still there, but the wine shows quite fresh and round with quite ripe dark berries, herbs and …

Tasted blind. High notes of sweet spice along with fruit of red cherry and forest berries and some herbal complexity. The palate was decent but offered nothing memorable.

VT Group Tasting Vol. 3 : Tasted double blind. No detailed notes taken. This was dead. I think the cork in this bottle might have had some default as the wine showed way more advanced than it should have with strong oxidation notes. It didn’t seem like heat damage. The substance underneath the soy sauce mess would have probably been impressive (layers of intense ripe dark fruit note, lots of spices and herbs were still noticeable).

Love 100 % CF’s: bell pepper, plum, prune, soft vanilla, cedar, leather, black currant, medium to full body, great long “green” finish.

Needs an hour of air, but I will drink my last ones soon. Not as great as a couple of years ago

Delicious! Clear ruby with lightening to the edges and medium plus opacity. Medium plus intensity on the nose with very herbal dark fruit and notes of varnish, spices and green pepper. The palate was dark and black fruits medium plus acidity, full round chalky tannins. There was a lot of intensity and expression here. The finish was long and beautiful.

While I am not a Bordeaux or super-Tuscan drinker because there are other regions or grapes I prefer (for red pinot noir, nebbiolo, syrah, sangiovese, gamay and a few others) there is no denying this is a good quality wine, just not fully my style. Chassis, cherry, chocolate, some green pepper and green pepper, a little salty. Quite full-bodied and concentrated, but fresh acidity and some grip from the tannins at least with some air. Could vibe with this from …

Good showing tonight w sausage pasta. Tannins have softened (after decant) to reveal ripe, dark purple fruits with low/medium acidity. Definitely in prime drinking window now.

From magnum, needs 3+ hours of air. Fabulously together. Green pepper on the nose as you might expect. Silky smooth, good length, plenty of interest. Still time ahead of it but utterly lovely now.

Duemani Cabarnet Franc: 100% Cab. Franc.

This is a fabulous wine. Everything is in the right place. The nose is rich with small berries flavors. The palate delivers strong notes of ripe plums and cherries, chocolate and spices. The tannins are very silky. Long, yummy finish. I am so fond of it. A real gem.

again, delicious. decanted and drank over 3 hours. full bodied, perfumed, a bit tannic at first but then the last glass and a half was great once softened with air. otherwise, paired well with lasagna. drink now w/ decant or over 10 years.

A good wine, as expected big, peppery, tannic, chocolate, blue and red fruits. Cabernet Franc is grape that I don't know to much about. Just a bit to brutish by itself but good with grilled meat. Decanted for 1.5 hour - drank better and better as time went by.

I think this was just much too young. It was opening up more later in the evening. We did an original pop and pour. A bit hot upon opening. Lots of black plum and relatively intense tannins that softened some, but not as much as hoped. Would like to see it again in maybe another 5-7 years.

Wow...super nice biodynamic cabernet franc. High quality tannins, perfectly balanced and already quite complex. Black and red fruits mixed with dried herbs. Long finish. A real pleasure and worth every penny. Didn't know this producer, but very pleased with this purchase. Will age very gracefully for at least 10 more years.

Decanted and drank immediately over 2 hours. Ripe delicious dark fruits, good concentration, tannins held in check by sausage pasta. Really a great, balanced wine. Drink now with a decant, or with food, or over the next 10 years for sure.

Duemani Portfolio Tasting (Crystal Wines) : Tasted during Duemani portfolio wine tasting. Appearance is intense dark red and almost opaque. Perfume nose with black berry, sour cherry, smoky undertones and hints of licorice. 15 to 18 months aging in new french oak but the oak integration here is surprisingly well even at this young age. Smooth & fresh on entry, and it is dense and rich on palate, exhibits ripe fruits, blackberry, cassis, vanilla oak & licorice. Full bodied and …

Tight, dark red color. I feel the wine had too much etherical aromas. More green notes after a while. Maybe a bad bottle?
