My final magnum of these. Another impressive showing. Consistent with previous notes.

From magnum. Decanted 1.5 hours. Lush, fragrant bouquet of red cherries and moss. Round attack, immediate sense of body and heft, and a rather full mid-palate of dark cherry, and violet. Tannins fully integrated. Moderately long final. This is a very nice Pinot - not quite the tour de force of a Gantenbein or a Donatsch, but a very complete Pinot all the same. Would be happy to taste this alongside a MSD or Gevrey Chambertin 1ere cru.

Opened 1 hour prior. From magnum. Followed over 3 hours. Pale garnet with some suggestion of bricking. Dark plum and cherry with faint metallic note. Round entry, slow build to slightly medicinal cherry cough drop mid-palate with a bittering edge to the medium final. Medium bodied with just noticeable tannins and a sweet undertow. Engaging and approachable now with lots of life left.
