No reason to expect much from this bottle after 31 years. That said, the wine was pleasant and interesting. I got acid, tannins, and some barnyard funk. Light color, transparent. Ate with Italian sausages, mashed potatoes with goat milk cheese, asparagus, and mushrooms.

Decanted and drank from 30 minutes to 2hrs. Lovely nose but showing its age on the palate. IMO drink up.

Bu en souvenir de mon frère Oli, malheureusement pas le plus grand Brunello...

Consumed with Chicken balti. Deep ruby colour with lots of fruit on the nose but also that sense of austereness you get from this region at this stage of development. Delicious on the palate with red and black fruits, olives, cedar and spice. This is a really well balanced wine that is still developing and has a long life ahead of it.

Dark opaque red-purple Dark red fruits nose with earthy notes and herbal-spicy hints High acidity, firm tannins, good structure, Arthur flavors, lean complexity, light bitter chocolate, fine bitter fruity finish and aftertaste. Still young and is likely to improve within the next 3-7 years.

If you do not do like jammy overconcentrated wines like me this one is for you. Perfect balance between ripeness and fruitiness. Tons of cherry and a lovely game between spices like cinnamon, coffee and leather. Mid length body and round acid. Perfect with selfmade Spaghetti Bolognese. To the point, excellent, what a nice surprise.

Nothing overly distinctive on this bottle for me. Falls a little short of the 2010's I've been drinking lately. Would further describe this as light cherry in color with a slightly bitter finish.

Light ruby colour with some amber at the rim. Fresh cherry with some leather and hints of red licorice and toast. Medium-full bodied with chewy-smooth tannins and some sweet fruit. The finish is medium long with a slight bitter twist. Well integrated and developped right now. It lacks the stucture to develop for the long haul. Drink now - 2019.

Seemed to be partially oxidized initially but this improved dramatically with time in the decanter. Turneed out to be a very nice bottle of mature Brunello though it probably needs to be drunk up over the next couple years.
