Saturday hangout at Domaine (Chicago, IL) : This still has some of the scheurebe flavours in the form of mango and passionfruit, but tastes more like old sweet German wine (that's certainly not a bad thing). If anything this might have been able to use a little more sweetness, but that tropical fruit mix really works with the high-sweetness Pr�dikat.

Fuck this is good. I wasn�t paying attention when I grabbed this and thought it was a riesling. It�s not. No matter, it�s great. Deep golden color. The nose is unreal � charred pineapple, some figs, a wealthy English grandmother�s perfume... A flavor explosion. It�s floral and sweet, but not sickly sweet and fruity but not overly so and balanced and who would have ever guessed that this would be so good. Is that roses on the finish? Jesus this …

James turns 30 years old (Trenchermen, Chicago IL) : Nose: Beautiful depth is really noticeable right away with succulent tones of red and green apples, pears, white fruits, creams, and some figs as well. Taste: The medium/full feel with medium+ acidity. The feel is gorgeous with rounded tones of red apples, pears, creams, and figs. Overall: This was a beautiful wine. A real treat to experience with a wonderful feel that made you want to drink the wine.
