Very deep dark, young. The nose opened slightly chemical, then cleaned a bit. Dark fruit, herbs. Very full, concentrated, sweetish, but with some acidity and bitterness, very tannic, raisiny, very hot finish. Long.

A powerful wine. Herbs and spices dominate the first sniff. On the palate the wine is much fruitier than the nose would suggest. Herbal cherries dominate with some tar flavors. Mouth drying tannins provide a powerful finish to a well structured wine. Who says one cannot make good wine from Aglianico grapes. This is a masterpiece!
