Very dry, thin-bodied and a somewhat woody texture; light with soft relatively indiscernible flavor.

Lean and crisp, lemon, lemon peel, intense , crystalline , pure. Almost a bit like a Santorini except for the pastry note on the finish. V. Good. I think this will age but excellent now.

A wonderful dry Furmint from an outstanding producer. Pale golden color with some hints of green. Aromas of peach, white flowers and grapefruit. The pallet notes pear, exotic tropical fruits and minerals with hints of Asian spices, dried citrus zest and dried herbs. Touch of salinity on the long lingering finish. Nice chalky texture and balanced acidity. Wonderfully complex, elegant and refreshing.

Characteristics of the vintage After a very rainy end of 2019, 2020 started with a mild and dry winter, then the weather was very dry and rather cool until the end of May. Summer was rainy and cooler than average, and the grapes ripened slightly later than in the previous years. The weather during harvest was also humid, we had to harvest very selectively, but it allowed us to make fresh, acidity driven, fruity dry wines. Vinification The grapes were …

Glass stopper bottle - so no need for a bottle opener. Fruity, dry - but the fruitiness made me think of how a off dry vs dry Riesling is different - the fruitiness was more off-dry, but obviously no residual sugar. Had not had a Hungarian Furmint before - was not sure what to expect. Really liked it, went well with Chinese food. Struggle to find a white wine in my memory to compare it with.\ Will try and get …
