Monthly Tasting Group EEE #051; South West France (@ PV) : In the bouquet some yeast and green apple. On the palate green and some ripe yellow apple, some citrus and pleasant acidity. Pleasant bitterness in the finish. Clean and fresh cava.

Fresh brut cava. Green Apple, touch of Bread and quite some lemon. Mousse is a bit brutal, and it is dry... Medium bitter at the end. Ok, no top cava, but really ok!

So hot here in ATL. Three weeks of 90+ °F with no chance of rain. I have been drinking more golden ales than wine. But last night I cooked a tortilla de patatas and thought it will pair with a bottle of Cava. This is a pale straw color sparkler with a lot of tiny, crazy bubbles that move almost rotating, like a tornado. On the nose it shows honeysuckle, fig and yeasty notes. Full bodied with a creamy mousse. …
