Firestone Walker Velvet Merkin

I normally love this beer, but it's been lacking year-to-year for a while now. This year has been the weakest rendition yet. I grabbed an extra so it could sit for 6 months or more. Just cracked it open after sitting for a half year and the result is...it's totally flat. Barely anything presenting on the nose, palate, or finish. The most disappointing FW barrel beer I've had in quite some time.
