Popped and poured. Sappy cherry aroma. Rich flavors of cherry and a touch of lemon. Sweet cherry finish. Vibrant, firm backbone, great basic Burgundy. In a good place, probably not going anywhere. Drink up.

PopnPour, tasted over 3 hrs -semi-translucent light red with some bricking -Burg funk, cherry, mature earthy elements -flat entry then med acidity kicks in late, light weight, hollow mid-palate with a sappy fading sweet cherry residue on the average length finish -pretty, red-fruited, nearing peak maturity, typical '07 structure

Conservative Dinner at Loseley Park with Sir George Young. Limited note taking. I am normally a great fan of Joseph Drouhin whether in Burgundy or Oregon but found this wine uninspiring by their high standards. The bottles had at least 30 minutes to an hour to breathe but while displaying encouraging cherry, strawberry and a hint of violets on the nose, these classic traits transferred to the palate in a far too lightweight and thin way to leave a lasting …

This was my last bottle and, for some reason, I liked it more than the previous two. What I was calling 'dustiness' was gone this time--not in the sense that there was no earthiness, but the concentration seemed greater. Very good, especially for $16.

a very nice burgundy experience at a fair tariff... this wine was not stored correctly so it was a bit more developed...had a great roasted nose, hints of game, spice(fantastic)...on the palate, firm acids,nice earth and minerality coming, tart cran/strawberry and dark cherry, picked up some mushroom and graphite...hits the burgundy spot!!!

Consistent with AlanH13's note; the second or third bottle of this I've opened which feels too thin, acidic & mean & with something clearly wrong but hard to identify. Disappointing because those which have been all right have been very nice; on the basis of the bottle variation & the ~50% hit rate, I wouldn't buy this again.

This did not seem right on opening. Smelt very alcoholic and an odd slightly solvent-like smell, more shoe polish than acetone. Quite earthy and noticeable wood but the fruit was drowned out.
