Edmond Cornu & Fils Ladoix 1er Cru La Corv�e

Opened and drunk with mushroom risotto. Very nice from the get-go, drinking perfectly at age 10. Quite dark in color, this shows very pretty ripe fruit on the nose, and deep, dark fruit flavors that linger into the finish. Such a treat to drink an old world Pinot with dinner that doesn�t suffer from overripe fruit. Very nice for a Premier Cru at this price point. 5-12-16-8: 91/100.

Popped and poured tonight. Quite dark, pretty much opaque. Nose mostly floral, and a bit restrained. Seems to be holding a lot in reserve. Nice and lean in the mouth, good acid, with fruit in reserve. Would drink now with food, but I think this will improve and last a good long time if the fruit holds out. Pretty nice, but lacking in charm for a 7 year-old. 5-12-15-9: 91/100.

Popped and poured. Although this fairly young, it is approachable. Will finish this note, however, after this has aired a bit. Several hours later......Dark ruby, looking strong. Good, medium-fruit nose. Ripe but restrained. Crisp impression in the mouth, earthy and tannic, needs more time. But lots of promise. 5-12-15-8: 90/100.

Ephemeral silky wine.... Lightness and airy nose of strawberry and moist light earth... Such a nice bright strawberry, terroir, taut, racy, minerality, salinity.. Gosh it�s a really really delicious Pinot.... Elevated my experience...
