Restrained but heady nose. Floral, exotic spices, forest floor. Sweet spice which I associate with red burgundies I like. The body of the palate is deceptively light footed yet has density of fruit. Not a voluptuous or immediately apparent wine. Multi-layered. Good finish with excellent length. Tannins were fine and resolved. �215 at Authentique in North London. Landmark bottle to celebrate passing an exam with parents and OH. First time trying this producer.

BORGOGNA GRANDI VILLAGE ( e non solo!) (Capalbio Resort) : Rileggo le note dell all' assaggio di giugno del 2015, quelle dell' anno scorso e noto con dispiacere che il 2010 sta cambiando pelle. Colore aranciato da vino senza solfiti, balsamico, più ovattato e rilassato. Mancano le spezie pungenti, i chiodo di garofano e le violette che rendono unico questo "mini Clos de Lambrays". Interesting new world nose with spice, caramel and dried red fruit. Palate was concentrated with black fruit. It has a modern style of burgundy.

Un mini Clos de Lambrays, tutto profumo e vapore. Corpo inesistente, un' acqua di rose da camerino di diva, reso ancora più unico da una filigrana di tannino gessoso. Vino di bucolica poesia, da attendere ancora qualche anno.

De Chambolle � Morey - Grands Jours de Bourgogne (Gilly-les-Citeaux) : Wine tasting. Floral start with somewhat delicate red and black fruit. Good textures start-to-finish, assertive acids in the middle, spice emerges nicely on finish.

Burgundy 2010 Tasting - Justerini & Brooks, London (London) : Already quite wonderful with a sweet and funky fruit element to the palate and nose Tight on the palate but there is going to be some serious depth here. Very alluring already and will mature into quite a stinky, earthy wine. Excellent.
