Orfila Vineyards Syrah Ambassador's Reserve

2012 Cellar Cleaning - Take 1 : Pretty tight on opening. Could probably use some aeration at this point. The prior review calling this "narrow" is an apt description. Not exactly Rhone-like, but not as big and expansive as many from other areas in California. Some sense of ink and iodine on the palate. Doesn't necessarily seem to have the structure for the long-term, but I do think that a decant would be in order. 87 points.

- Crimsom color with slow forming legs and has flavours of phenolic with a medium body. Narrow texture with a long finish.
