EEE July 2020 Rhone Wines (@ AR) : Creamy bouquet with butter and some anise. On the palate full bodied, a bit fat, mineral impressions and a firm amount of good acidity. Unexpectedly fresh for an 11 year old viognier.

What an expression of Viognier. Probably my best experience from outside of the Rhone Valley. Nose was full of white peach and all the good things. Mouth, just a hint of diesel but that was quickly covered up by lots of fruit and a medium amount of oiliness. Long? Eternal. WE drank this at Loewen in eggenstein where it was served by the glass.

Regular dinner group (@ PvD Viognier worldwide and reds from the Southern Hemisphere) : Fresh and expressive bouquet. Flowers and litchi. A bit sparkling in the bouquet as well as the mouth. Citrus, apricots and minerals in the taste.

Kleur: Strogeel. Geur: Weinig expressie, beetje floraal, fris steenfruit, prikkelend. Smaak: Fris, soepel mondgevoel, sappig maar vol en filmend. Algemeen: Frisse stijl Viognier. Origineel, apart. Niet groots.
