Bright dark red almost to the edge, nose of rain on schist, red berry, pomegranate... nice red berry, some acid balanced with light powdery tannins .. pleasant enough and certainly not offensive, but lacking that CO ripeness, the big CO intensity... polite, subtle perhaps to its detriment at an Asian fusion restaurant. Nice but not what you're looking for at that restaurant, shame.

P&p. Earth/gravel, leafy/twiggy, mushroom, cool dark-red fruit aromas, offering some rustic, 'old world' character. Some spicy oak, not too much. Tart dark red fruit on the palate; heaps of acidity; light on tannins. Tasty, glouglou, enjoyable entry level wine from an excellent producer, good value.

On the nose cherry cola with some vanilla oak, maybe some white pepper. Shows some sour cherry and orange peel on the palate. Decent acidity maybe a little under ripe. Definitely not your over extracted brooding Cali pinot. Not great, but good enough for midweek, and should be relatively easy to pair.

PnP. Fairly dark color, with clear ruby hue. A bit of musty cedar on the otherwise unreamarkable nose. Light acidity. Falls rather flat on the palate. The back end does show nice, firm tannins. Acquired at a closeout; can't complain. [14.0% abv.; $4.00].

Thanksgiving Wines (Farpointe Cellar) : The nose had lots of bright red berries, some spice, and a little mushroom. The palate had forest floor flavors, cherry and raspberry, and a very spicy finish. This wine had a very Old World style to it.

A few scary wines this Halloween afternoon : WIML85 Tasted October 31, 2009 at a retail tasting. Light garnet color in the glass, clear hue throughout. Nose of fertilizer, thatch and berries. Flavors of berries and Bing cherries. Light to medium acidity, medium tannins, light to medium body. Drink over the short term.

Lush, your name is unravelled! This was an excellent wine that did my friday evening complete. Unfortunately it was my last bottle. There are still som left in the store and I'll try to get my hands on them. Nose medium to big (nice& intruiging) starting with frash strawberries and chocolate with a hint of cherries, after a while it showed more complex notes butter fried mushrooms with salt&pepper and rather new experience of some corn snacks, perhaps some salty …
