A lovely copper-red color, good mousse, classically refined rose bubbles.

My contribution for a large, annual BYO champagne dinner. While this was a standout, others were: La Closerie LC20, ‘07 Cristal rosé en mag, ‘19 Westborn BdB This vintage had 20% addition of red wine. The notes below about bottle variation is exactly what was experienced this evening. A friend also brought the ‘06 Dom Rosé but there was a clear difference between the two. Whereas my bottle was deep, rich and an interplay of florals, juicy red fruits, fleshy …

Tasted from the same two bottles as the reviewer below and agreed on the tasting notes - the bottle variation was interesting to observe, not that there was one bottle that was better than the other - just different. First bottle had more notes of strawberry and other red fruit, while the second bottle had floral/rose water notes.

2 Bottles, purchased as same time from same source. 1st bottle was classic Dom Rose with loads of red fruits that varied from ripe raspberry to dark cherry. Whereas the 2nd bottle was far more subdued on the nose and palate, with rose water dominating and eventually leading to an element of watermelon jolly rancher. It would have been a challenge to pick these two bottles as the same wine if blind. I liked them both a lot for each …

Impressive stature and stuffing. Perhaps still a little tight and not totally forthcoming but plenty of tasty berries and toast. Upside from here.

Medium-dark peachy, rose gold with fine bubbles. Rich red fruits, blackberry, lemon, nuts, honey, floral, garden herbs, and minerality. Medium-full bodied, medium-high acidity, medium-low tannin, medium to medium high structure, medium alcohol and long finish. Complex, vigorous and velvety. Very well-made rose cuvee prestige. Freshness had waned, and wine was entering maturity phase. This vintage likely not for the super long term cellaring.

Nose: strawberry, maltose, red fruits, red flower, mandarin peel Notes: 12.5% ABV and disgorged Jan 2018, 6g dosage, 56% Pinot Noir and 44% Chardonnay. My second time having this wine. This is displaying some delicous red fruits and red flowers with the classic maltose notes which is typical of this house. This is showing quite some good potential and I think it's still quite young and should show plenty more potential in the future. Excellent effort from the house for …

Celebrating the lease signing for our new wine storage venture (Blacksalt, Washington DC) : Medium expressive nose displaying sweet red fruit, strawberry, raspberry, cooper, brioche, spearmint, sweet spices and limestone. Excellent concentration, slightly coiled red fruit, rich and deeply toned, medium fine medium generous mousse, a bit angular, bright acidity, strong mineral, and a medium long ripe red fruit driven finish. This is slightly angular at the moment.

Drinking 2005 and 2006 side by side. The 05 bottle had much more energy than the 06 when i popped the cork. 05 has scent of some kind of crop. The 05 has a dry very special distinct taste. This wine would be very easy to pick out the vintage on a blind testing. Personally for me the taste was not my favourite at all. pink bitter grapefruit, cranberry, dry lemon on the finish. The 2006 had a little more …

A generous congratulatory gift from friends while we watched our daughter’s new movie!!!! What better reason to pop open a bottle of Dom rose? One of my favorites. Beautiful salmon color in the glass. Nose of sweet berries and some funk, kind of cheesy and yeasty (yum). On the palate strawberries and some orange rind, a little spicy. Great zingy mousse, appropriately acidic. Still thinking about how it felt in my mouth.

Nose: strawberry, raspberry, mandarin peel, white flower, maltose Notes: 12.5% ABV and disgorged Jan 2018, 6g dosage, 56% Pinot Noir and 44% Chardonnay. This is definitely on the fuller side as I read that this wine consists of 20% still red wine. Excellent red fruits on the nose this is a Champagne with great depth and a board structure. Despite the great nose I do feel the palate is a little rough and this probably gives a slightly stronger punch …

Fruit forward nose with notes of strawberry, orange, and perhaps a bit of savory. The nose is rich and voluminous with good depth. Nice acidity on the palate with more strawberry notes, sweeter fruit, and plush mouthfeel. Finish is quite long. Lovely wine that's definitely on the more powerful / bigger side of Champagne for me. Super high quality, although I tend to prefer a bit more subtlety.

Very vinous with a mild bead. A wine that is tempered and balanced but perhaps lacks some personality / vivacity. More demure than my last bottle and rather lost in the lineup.

Drank side by side with the 2004.Fun side by side, clearly similar, both showed well with lovely fruit, scale and complexity. Both had a lovely fine mousse and perfect balance. The 2004 was slightly bigger with a longer finish

Raveneau MdT and Chapelot (Chicago, IL) : Luminous bottling. I didn't love this on release, but man this has gotten super impressive. Rounded, powerful, and rich, with clear delineation of red fruit and a broad, complex palate that also shows just the right amount of acidity to cut through all of that material. Sappy, rich, and powerful. This has developed very well. In my past experience, the Dom Rosé has always come off a bit steely on release, but a …

Not a fan of the 2006 vintage for Champagne, but the 06 Dom was very good with strawberries, mousse and roses. Good vibrancy. Drinking well. Much better than the regular 06 DP. 92-93

Refreshing, light, well balanced champ. Very enjoyable. Citrus, flint and a light aroma of baked biscuit. Everyone at table liked.
