PnP, clear, purple color. Nice nose. Perfect crowd pleasing summer porch pounder. Ideal balance/integration, drinking window, soft but not light on flavor. Rounded out nicely with resolved tannin. Med body, intensity, finish. Nothing off. Great value. $22

Pencil lead and chocolate with characteristic Chilean bell pepper and jalapeno finish. This wine isn’t nearly as sophisticasted as the Montes Alpha M, from a few months ago, but I am still thrilled to drink this for $22 a bottle. Good match with grilled meat.

A very enjoyable Carmenere at a nice price. Deep dark fruit with some uplifting spices. Nice tannin as well as acidity. Very enjoyable.

Virtually opaque black/purple in glass.14.5 % alcohol. Muted restrained nose. Heaps of fruit on palate with hints of earth and tobacco. Soft tannins. Reminds me of a 5th or 4th growth St Julien from a good year. Needs 2 or 3 years to really open up.

This was really fantastic for the price. Deep purple, dark fruits, very chocolaty, with a good acid and an attractive jalapeno spice on the finish. It reminded me of a Petite Verdot. Very plush. A little one dimensional, but what a fantastic dimension it was. I'm shocked for the price and this makes me want to re-evaluate my opinion of Chilean wine and Chilean Carmenere especially.

Guesses: Cauble usually describes carmenere as ripe and unripe at the same time. Warm black fruit meets green capsicum and green peppercorn flavors. Also there was that espresso thing that Elliot …

Finely crafted Carmenere. Wellripened fruit flavors of raspberry/strawberry balanced acidity and tannins. Will age beautifully for 2-3 years. James Suckling 95.
