Domaine Anne Gros & Jean-Paul Tollot, L'o Vie, Minervois

Super high quality wine, and, rare for me, likely a crowd pleaser too. Rich yet fresh and mineral. Great nose for violets, some pencil shave, and a bunch of almost raspberry (or something) jam, but without the sugar. Violet/purple, fairly dense. No sediment. translucent rim. I don't see this improving much. Did not decant but let it open in the bottle and the glass. Rich, yet balanced. Fruit, yet structure (ok, not a ton). Quite delicious really.

Found le soleil du sud in an elegant way.

Shyraz from young wines. Deep ruby color. Aromas of plum, black currants, spices, tobacco. Medium body, medium acidity, high alkohol, medium finish. Taste of dark cherries. Fruity and easy drinking. With pleasure.

Pop and poured with a expression of fresh berries. After a 1hr decant, the initial palette gave way to a pronounced mid palette of cassis accompanied by a mild sweetness. Mid length finish.
